Experience: Carol Bailey Medwell is the founder of Carol Bailey and Associates. Her practice is dedicated to improving the experience people have in family law matters, preserving family ties following divorce, and improving the quality of family law practice. She has practiced family law in Texas and Washington State for more than 30 years. She is a trained mediator and collaborative law practitioner. She recently attended Advanced Negotiation Skills training at the Project on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Bailey Medwell was an adjunct professor with the Seattle University School of Law in the Fall of 2009, where she taught communication and conflict management skills. Bailey Medwell is a member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Washington Collaborative Law Group, King County Collaborative Lawyers, and the Association for Conflict Resolution. She frequently speaks at seminars and CLEs regarding family law. She received a BA with honors in art history from the University of Texas and a JD from Southern Methodist University.
