Devon, PA

Experience: Darlene Daggett is the executive director and founder of Ikatu International, a private foundation implementing for-profit, market driven solutions to address youth employment challenges in Sub Saharan Africa. In addition, Daggett is also the president of Multi Channel Management Group, a strategic consulting practice dedicated to the needs of multiple platform e-commerce players. Prior to her social sector transition, Daggett was the President of QVC, US Commerce, where alongside a talented team, she pioneered the exponential growth of one of the world's largest e-commerce retailers, growing the business 15 fold to sales of $5 billion. She was responsible for its sales, strategic development, new business initiatives, and critical customer insight. Throughout her career, Daggett has been recognized by her peers for integrated social initiatives, including the launch and cultivation of QVC's philanthropic program that involved both large fundraising efforts and on-the-ground fieldwork. Daggett continues her strong voice in social business ventures as a delegate at both the Clinton Global Initiative and the Skoll World Forum for Social Entrepreneurs. In addition, she is an active member of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in New York and the board of overseers at the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. As the mother of four and the parent of six, Daggett is passionate about giving youth every opportunity to succeed. With three adopted daughters, she frequently thinks about what the future would look like if they had segued out of the social system without an integrated support structure. Given her passion for entrepreneurship and a belief that employment provides an opportunity for an independent and dignified future, she is focusing on transformational economic change, beginning in Ghana.
