Atlanta, GA Degrees : BS in Accounting and MBA in Finance Job Description : Corporate development effort for health and wellness website Experience: Kathy Harris is SVP Corporate Development of Sharecare, Inc., an interactive, social Q&A;platform designed to greatly simplify the search for quality healthcare information and help consumers live their healthiest life. She most recently was a general partner of Noro-Moseley Partners, the oldest and one of the largest venture capital firms in the Southeastern US. While there, she focused on the Firm's business development efforts throughout the Southeast, metro DC , and Texas and its investment activities in the healthcare industry. She previously served on the board of Valor Healthcare, Inc. and as a board observer on Senior Whole Health. She currently serves on the Board of FertilityAuthority.com. Ms. Harris has over 30 years of finance and investment experience. Prior to NMP, she was a partner at Technology Ventures, an Atlanta-based venture capital firm, and Sirrom Capital Corporation, a publicly-traded mezzanine debt firm, where she oversaw all business development and loan origination activities. Prior to Sirrom, Ms. Harris spent more than 10 years at J.C. Bradford & Co. (now UBS) and was involved in more than $2 billion in investment banking transactions. She started her career at KPMG and is a CPA licensed in Tennessee (inactive). She holds an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a BS in Accounting from Murray State University. Ms. Harris is on the Boards of the Clemson University Research Foundation, the Health Care Advisory Board of the Owen School and the University of Miami Launch Pad. She is an active member of the Atlanta chapter of Women Corporate Directors. In 2006, Business to Business Magazine named her one of Atlanta's 16 "Women of Excellence." She was also named as a 2007 recipient of the Board of Directors Network's Executive Leadership Honor Roll. Ms. Harris has served on the Boards of The Alliance Theatre Company, the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, TechBridge, Women in Technology, and Hands On Atlanta. She is a native of Kentucky. |
